Design Concepts, Inc., an award-winning innovation and product design consultancy with offices in San Francisco and Madison, Wis., is pleased to welcome strategic account manager Edgar Hernandez to our Business Development team.
Hernandez has worked in several innovation, business development and market research roles for American Family Insurance, leading initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and evaluate Internet of Things (IoT) technology and “big data” opportunities. He also served as an IoT Ventures Accelerator Mentor for Microsoft, helping a number of home automation startups improve their user experience for an insurance-market fit. Prior to joining American Family Insurance, Hernandez founded Avanza Consulting, where he provided market segmentation research for the credit union industry and launched an e-learning concept for a software company.
An MBA graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Hernandez focused on marketing, operations and entrepreneurship. He is a graduate of the Professional Certificate Program, Strategic Decision and Risk Management, of Stanford University. He also holds a BBA in finance from Iowa State University.
