Sharon West at IDSA Women in Design Deep Dive

Sharon West, Mechanical Engineering Manager at Delve, will be speaking at IDSA's <a href="https://www.idsa.org/conference-details/women-in-design-deep-dive-2024/" target="_blank">"Women in Design Deep Dive"</a> in Philadelphia on&nbsp;June 26 - 27, 2024. The event is&nbsp;IDSA’s annual celebration of inclusion and diversity in design. The theme for 2024 centers on amplifying efforts to gain more influence, conduct fruitful negotiations, effectively communicate design value, become a master at self-direction, and more.&nbsp; Sharon's session, titled "That Hat Can Fit Me Too!" will start at 3:10 pm ET on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, and&nbsp;will cover how design professionals can make successful transitions work in an era of perpetual change.

Leadership diversity matters because having different perspectives and experiences drives innovation and helps companies to design better products.

Sharon will discuss supporting yourself and others to reduce the friction inherent to role changes, team changes, and workforce changes. About the Speaker 
Sharon West is a Mechanical Engineering Manager and technical lead at the product development firm Delve. She's spent her 20+ year career mostly in the science and healthcare sectors working with cross-disciplinary teams to create laboratory robotics, biothreat detectors, pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, and healthcare diagnostic devices from point-of-care to high-throughput central lab instruments.
