Design Concepts is hosting another in its series of After Hours events on Thursday, March 8, on a very relevant topic for most businesses and designers.

Stefanie Norvaisas, Director of Design Research & Strategy, and Marlisa Kopenski, Director of Business Design, will present a talk about “The Consequences of Measuring What Doesn’t Matter.” When it comes to evaluating the success of a product, design or service, people commonly measure what is easy, not what is meaningful. Often, easy metrics fail to capture WHY something is done in the first place. This can lead to false conclusions and unintended consequences that design cannot overcome. In the talk, Stef and Marlisa will share a critical tool for aligning intention, process and measures and share examples from many industries.

A networking reception with appetizers and beverages will start at 5 p.m. with the presentation beginning at 6 p.m.
