The LINKA Smart Bike Lock, for which Design Concepts created the industrial design, recently won a gold award in the TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards 2017 competition in the “Young Enterprise” category. There were only seven gold winners among the 57 products recognized.

Our San Francisco office worked closely with LINKA, an Oakland, California-based startup, on the design of the Bluetooth-enabled bike lock to develop a smart aesthetic to match its smart features. LINKA was introduced through a Kickstarter campaign that quickly raised more than four times its goal. It is now available for purchase online.

The TAIPEI CYCLE d&i awards are conducted by the IF World Design Guide and award ceremonies were recently held in conjunction with the 30th annual TAIPEI CYCLE trade fair.
